Swimming Australia - Safe Sport Framework
Southside Aquatics is committed to providing a safe environment for all our members. The safety of children and young people in our sport is paramount and we want swimming to be enjoyable and safe for all.The Safe Sport Framework (SSF) is an initiative of Swimming Australia and confirms the shared responsibility we all have for keeping each other safe in swimming - children and adults alike. The Framework was adopted in 2016 to replace the SAL Member Welfare Policy; SAL Child Welfare Policy; SAL Member Welfare Procedures; SAL Child Welfare Procedures; and SAL Codes of Conduct. In support of the Framework, Southside Aquatics requires all coaches and Management Committee members to hold a current Blue Card.If any swimmer, parent, coach or official considers they have been treated in a way that does not meet the Safe Sport Framework or would like to discuss any part of the Framework, they are encouraged to contact the Club President at firstname.lastname@example.org
